Penis rings are arguably the most underrated sex toy of them all. Why? Because they’re designed for extended pleasure. Wearable cock rings are hands-free and vibrate the base of the penis, while still allowing use during penetrative sex. Some are designed more so for solo masturbation, while some are more couples-friendly. I’ve spent the past few weeks testing the WeVibe Bond, the Lelo Tor 2, the Lovense Diamo, and the Satisfyer Mighty One so that you don’t have to.
Read about my experience with each below in order of testing, including testing with a female partner. Please note that all the toys on this list are 100% waterproof and app-compatible, so I’ll focus on other features in this review
WeVibe Bond ($129)
For how complex some of the features on the WeVibe Bond are, it’s a decently sleek looking sex toy. Like all the toys on this list, it’s made with body safe material that is phthalate, BPA and latex-free. This is a non-negotiable for sex toys these days and if you’re looking at any toys that aren’t free of toxins, don’t consider them, regardless of the price. Keep your penis safe so that you can have better sex.
Now, back to testing. The WeVibe Bond has 10 vibration patterns, and while it’s nice to have options, not a make-or-break feature for me as I tend to gravitate towards the constant vibration pattern on all my sex toys. The toy lasts up to 2 hours per charge, which is also standard for the other toys in this comparison..
Something that sets the WeVibe Bond apart from competitors is its focus on solo use, and this can be seen in the design. The head on the WeVibe Bond is meant to be worn underneath the penis and testicles, instead of pointing upwards like traditional cock rings. I should also mention that when reading reviews to decide which rings to test, many people commented on a ring’s ability or disability to stretch around the balls. I don’t personally use cock rings in this way, but the Bond would be able to do so with its stretchiness.
That being said, I think WeVibe Bond is too stretchy and doesn’t provide the firmness around the base of the penis that I prefer. It comes with an added link for girthier penises, which I personally find unnecessary due to the stretchiness. That’s my biggest complaint with this toy, but its open arch design for easy removal helps redeem it. It’s the only toy in this roundup that opens and closes and could be useful especially for older men who have hand tremors or weaker hands.
The 3-button interface on the toy isn’t the most streamlined, but it is nice to have the option to control the toy via app, remote control or the toy itself. The remote control is cool, but is the only way this toy can be “used” with a partner, unless using it during penetrative sex in the doggy position. We tried using it in reverse cowgirl but the toy sat so snugly to my balls that it didn’t make much contact with her clitoris. You can, of course, turn the ring around so that the head is on top of your penis, but you’ll find that it simply isn’t designed to be used this way.
WeVibe Bond’s Vital Statistics
PROS
- Larger surface area of vibrating head
- Remote-controlled for exhibitionism
- Easy removal system
CONS
- Wouldn’t use in quiet settings
- Stretch material is too stretchy
- Extra link unnecessary
Lelo Tor 3 ($159)
The Lelo Tor 3 is exactly what I pictured when thinking of a traditional penis ring, mainly because it is designed to be used with a partner. Although it has a simple and streamlined interface, it has all the necessary features without the bells and whistles that I wouldn’t use, like linking up to sound or even the remote control honestly. When I picture using a sex toy, I want the most uninterrupted experience with my partner and that’s what this penis ring did best.
Paring the Lelo Tor 3 with the app unlocks 4 additional vibration patterns and allows you to customize your own desired patterns and strengths, but it’s not what excites me about a sex toy. What did excite me was the range of vibration strengths it had. My girlfriend has a more sensitive clit and found some of the other toys too intense. Most of them feel pleasant for me, but she commented that the Lelo Tor 3 has the best intervals between vibration levels.
I also tested it while jerking off alone. It obviously didn’t hug my scrotum, but the flexible yet firm material of the ring was the perfect sweet spot for sending vibrations deep into the base of my penis. It also lasts up to two hours and comes with 8 vibration patterns (plus the additional 4 available through the app). Plus, it’s just a sexy looking product. It may be a pricier option, but well worth it for the quality and ease of use.
An additional note – the charger for the Lelo Tor 3 is the same charger used on almost every other Lelo toy, so it is a plus that you don’t have to keep track of which charger matched which toy.

LELO Tor 3 Vital Statistics
PROS
- Wide range of vibration strengths
- Good amount of flexibility and firmness around the perineum
- Most ideal if intended to use with partner
CONS
- Less budget-friendly
- If using app, must keep the app open
Lovense Diamo ($119)
At first glance, the Lovense Diamo is the most odd-looking penis ring of the bunch, mainly because it has an exaggerated design to encompass more of the balls and area beneath the penis. For this reason, it did bring cool sensations to the scrotum, but also because of this design, makes it the least versatile to try to use in partnered sex. In its description it says it can be worn up to four different ways, though I couldn’t figure out how.
The material is also a soft rubber, which feels really comfortable but isn’t as elevated as the harder, smooth rubbers of the other toys. Plus, it makes it almost sticky and harder to clean after use, especially if you don’t tend to use lubricant.
The most unique feature of this toy, which I wouldn’t normally use but did test, was its ability to sync vibrations with sound. I tried this with my partner’s moans and it was cool, but more of a novelty than something that would increase our arousal during intimate intercourse.
She also thought the range of vibrations were too powerful for a buildable climax (again, in doggy position since flipping the toy upside down just poked me awkwardly below my stomach). And final thought, the sizing worked for me but the material had so little stretch that I don’t see it being compatible with a wide range of penis girths.
Lovense Diamo’s Vital Statistics
PROS
-
- Encompasess a wider area beneath the penis for additional stimulation
- Soft, rubbery material is feels comfortable on the skin
- Vibrations can be synced with sound
CONS
-
- Least versatile for partnered sex due to the design
- Not easy to clean
- Not very stretchy, could be incompatible for wider range of penis girths
Satisfyer Mighty One ($49.95)
The Satisfyer Mighty One is another penis ring design that is intended for partnered use. The elongated head is meant to be worn on top of the penis and lays flat against the body. My partner likes this because it gave her more of a surface area to grind on in the cowgirl position, however, in other positions it felt a bit bulky.
Interestingly enough, the unique selling proposition of this toy is also that it’s compatible with sound, but as a bonus, is partnered with Spotify so you can pair it with music on your personal playlists. Again, more a novelty for me and I wouldn’t even think to use this feature while masturbating alone.
The absolute biggest downfall of this toy is that depending on how you wear it, the power button will engage when pressed against someone else’s body. This was annoying and interrupted any sexual rhythm. The Satisfyer Mighty One comes with 10 vibration patterns similar to the other toys but generally just felt cheap. If I tested it first in the bunch and not last, maybe I would have been a little more impressed.

Comparison conclusion
Summing it up simply, the Lelo Tor 3 is my overall pick for the most versatile and quality penis ring. The tautness is ideal for masturbation and the wide range of vibration intensities is great for partnered sex. If you plan on only using a penis ring for masturbation, the WeVibe Bond is a solid choice but awkward for coupled sex.
Despite the ups and downs (literally, get it?) with some of the products, I had a great time testing them and grew to enjoy cock rings even more. From what we’re used to thinking of them for, stimulating you and your girlfriend during sex, to more creative ways to use them, like wearing them under your clothes in public, penis rings have stood the test of time for good reason.
